According to CATSA guidelines, skydiving rigs with and without Automatic Activation Devices: Rigs are permitted as carry-on or as checked baggage. More importantly, parachutes are also subject to the general restrictions on size and weight (i.e. whether they can be safely stowed as carry-on) and the restriction on the number of pieces of carry-on. Parachute-related equipment, such as gas cylinders, are permitted with the approval of the air carrier. Please contact your air carrier for more information.
